If I were ever to write a television show, it'd probably be the dullest thing ever: all the characters would be more-or-less normal, everything would always turn out happy and all the drama would be incredibly boring day-to-day things, with occasional big dramas that none-the-less wouldn't affect any of the favored relationships of the show.

It would be a 45 minute, less dramatic version of Friends. Except, obviously, better.

I would TOTALLY WATCH THAT. It is why I read fic - the happily ever after we are so happy together stuff. Well, I do love me a good first time fic, but I am all for hppy domestic fic. *loves*

I am currently fangirling over a pairing where one of the characters is a Catholic priest and now spoilers seem to indicating that the ex (who beat up his later-boyfriend because he couldn't deal with his own homophobia and was totally emotionally abusive, yay!) is back on the scene for that extra pinch of drama and I give up, you know? Too much angst! All the time!

I want a nice peaceful show - it may be time to head back to the happy days of Due South.

I am so with you. I broke up with Grey's Anatomy over the McAngsty-ness because I just. Could. Not Deal. I haven't watched SGA in more than a season because I can't deal with the angsty stress of the overarching storyline. Why can't it all be puppies and kittens and rainbows? *is a sad panda*

And one episode would be centered around a shopping trip for a new couch! And then they go to IKEA. See? DRAMA GALORE.

I WOULD SO WATCH THAT. Like, I'm not even kidding, I would love a show where one episode is all about decorating a room and squabbling because one character is all 'why can't we just pick a beige couch, it'll go with everything?' and the other character is like, 'No, we have to consider this! What colour scheme are we going for?' and it would be awesome.

(you know that segment in Being Human, where George and Mitchell clean and watch TV? 45 minutes. Every week. ♥!)
