Go read this. It's a beautiful S/H AU (AU's! The genre that doesn't require fandom knowledge, ya know) and it's sweet, harsh, real and yet reminicsent of a fairytale.

His apartment, up a hill, a block away. Off with our shoes--suffused in sensuality, we sprawl on the carpet of the attic loft. Isabelle, the girl he sleeps with, is there. But his relationship is in each of his narrow shoulders' awareness of the other, and mine is there with his, and with the weight of his slightly parted indolent lips. (beau d' abandon) Will I get him a pack of Camels? (just to buy him something is sublime) I'm out the door down the street into the Medeterannean air leaping the street stairs arms and feet--unable to take them one at a time.
