You've seen it, though, haven't you? Wasn't that the most gorgeous film in the history of ever? And I finally believed that the crowd - that bloodthirsty, villainous lot - was demanding the pound of flesh, there in that stuffy courtroom, whereas before all I could see was, "Oh, alack. The bond is forfeit. Whatever shall we do?" Jeremy Irons and Al Pacino were *beyond* magnificent, and whoever played Portia enchanted me, from start to finish.
