Steps is finally finished! (and sorry about the sudden spam on your friendspage there) I'm still not quite sure about the ending, and I think I'll have someone look it over a couple of times before posting to the Refuge. Funny how that's the place for the "finished" version, and everywhere else is just sort of testing grounds. Hm.
Have started The Virgin's Lover and I'm not exactly impressed. The langauge is still delicious (it's chocolate!cake!language, seriously), but all the narrators of it are so unsympathetic. Robert's an ass, Amy is pathetic and whiny, Elizabeth is unreliable and hard to love and only William Cecil really comes off as remotely likable. It annoys me, because that was a strong point in both of two other books - Hannah was likable throughout, and I loved Mary Boleyn to pieces. Still good though.
ETA: HUZZAH! The memories are back, baby!

Date: 2005-07-15 07:50 pm (UTC)I rather liked Mary more than Hannah, I think, because a lot of the time, I got frustrated with Hannah and her whole situation with her husband/nothusband.
