I have hardly seen any of this years nominees, so obviously I'm not choosing for performance. Then again, neither is the Academy.

Best Supporting Actress

Laura Linney (Kinsey) -- Because Laura Linney is cute, and because I still think Kinsey is an interesting subject for a movie, and this is more-or-less the only nom it got.

Sophie Okenedo (Hotel Rwanda) -- Because even the trailer for this makes me cry, and because I like her in the trailer.

Best Supporting Actor

Alan Alda (The Aviator) -- Alan Alda. Nuff said. Honestly though, I want him to win because a) no one expects him to and b) I want to hear his acceptance speech (then again, I'm not even sure he'll turn up at the ceremony)

Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) -- Because he didn't get anything for Shawshank Redeption.

Best Actress

I love everyone in this category and cannot choose one of the other. I suck like that, sorry!

Best Actor

Don Cheadle (Hotel Rwanda) -- Again with the crying because of the trailer. Also because I just like Don Cheadle

Jamie Foxx (Ray) -- He's going to win and deservedly so says my father. So go Jamie!

Best Adapted Screenplay

Motorcycle Diaries -- FORIEGN FILM YAY!

Sideways -- Because Rasmus would kill me if I didn't mention it.

Best Original Screenplay

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -- BECAUSE YES, OKAY?

Best Director

Martin Scorcese (The Aviator) -- Because it's Martin Scorcese. yay!

Alexander Payne (Sideways) -- Again with Rasmus. And also because indie movies need love too

Best Animated Picture

The Incredibles -- Well, duh. I liked it, honestly I did, but...meh, I can't bring myself to care too much (since I gave up after the Academy didn't nominate Lion King for best movie. TSK!)

Best Foreign Picture

Downfall (Germany) -- For Mikkel's sake. But can I just note that I wish France had nominated 'A Very Long Engagement? I love that movie. So much.

Best Picture

The Aviator --

Million Dollar Baby --

Sideways --

I wish ESoaSM had gotten a nom here, instead of Finding Neverland, but that Academy hates me.

I'm off to make dinner and then watch the Red Carpet. Will probably make running updates. Mwahahah, you will suffer my insomnia!!

ETA:

1. The pairing you first fell in love with: BJ/Hawkeye, naturally. They clicked well, they looked good together and the first episode I saw, *Where there's a Will, there's a War* was very good for that pairing. *nodnod*

2. The pairing you never expected to love as much as you do now: Obviously, Hawkeye/Trapper. I don't know if any of you remember my immense dislike of Trapper? I didn't even consider him canon for a long while, because I read so many B-eye fics, where BJ just can't measure up to Trapper in Hawkeye's mind and as a fledgling fan, protective of her OTP, I didn't like that. But then, I stumbled upon *Life with Father* and there was Trapper with his wonderful eyes looking at Hawkeye, and I was sold, bought and owned. Oh, how I love that pairing.

3. The pairing everyone else loves that you don't: Hawkeye/Mulcahy. And I don't know why I don't, because usually corrupting priests? Plays right into my kinks, but just no. They don't work for me.

4. The pairing you love that everyone else hates: Possibly Hawkeye/Trapper could sneak in here, since there is a good deal of dislike for Trapper in some parts of fandom, but really? Klinger/Radar. I know. I'm predictable.

5. The pairing you used to love but don't any longer: Um, Hawkeye/BJ. I know, I'm embaressed. But they just don't make me squee anymore. They're still very, very cute, and a good pairing, but just not that...exciting? anymore.

Dear DR2,

Please FIRE FIRE FIRE Jakob Høi. He pisses me off. And I don't wanna see him, I wanna see Alan Alda the red carpet arrivals, dammit all. Also? He just dissed ESoaSM. Which means he must die and obviously is in no shape to judge anything movie related.

No love, Chris

I don't think that BJ doesn't measure up - I just think Hawk sees them as two different things.
