I've done half my history, half my physics and half my maths, none of which is due before Friday. For me, this is big. I'm all proud of myself, which probably isn't a good thing, because my ego's already all puffed from English and history, Friday. Whee! Man, these past 9 days have been awesome - I don't think I've been this happy since I started 2.g.
My bitterness at the Great LiveJournal Blackout of '05 is somewhat lessened at the discovery that quite a few people took the blackout as a sign that they should write fic. That is most definitely of the good. Wonder why I didn't think if it, myself. Well, I suppose I was too busy adding to the Disney section of my iPod. Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules and Lion King, yay! mmm, Be Prepared. I shouldn't enjoy that song so much, but it's evil and sexy and funny and dear Lord! I just called a Disney song sexy (but, but...it is). I mean. I don't know what's wrong with me. I also researched Shakespeare, Discworld mythology and discovered that Lynn Collins is damn cool. No time wasted here, no siree!
My library is taunting me with me not being anywhere near it. Friday I got the message that Maurice was ready at the library, but didn't have enough time to get to the library before heading to Jutland. Then yesterday 'Brideshead Revisited' came in for me, and today the audiotape of that book. Grrr. Wish I was home. (Instead, I'm looking at train times and trying to figure out if I can time it just right so that I can get to the library and back during my midday free period. It's 2 hours, 15 minutes. It should be possible. Hmmm)
Yesterday was the Mother's side family luncheon, which was rather fun; I have the two most adorable little cousins who I watched Mulan with. One's four and the other eight and they're right brats, really, but they're all kinds of cute, so I tolerate them. And by tolerate I mean encourage them.
Other notable things:
-Have re-discovered the River of Dreams CD. I love it so much, especially the obvious ones (All About Soul, River of Dreams), Shades of Grey, Famous Last Words, Two Thousand Years and Blonde Over Blue. Err. And all the others as well. <3 Billy Joel to peices.
-Am amused by the fact that the picture I have as my bookgeek icon is the same picture that's on the cover of my newest Shakespeare book.
-Have lost five kilos. WTF? Hm. Happiness=lost weight. I can work with that.
-Now have comfirmed that I am way too dependent on LJ. Watch me do nothing about it.
-Have no idea what I'm going to write for the 1000 Words challenge. Also have a month and a half more, so am not that concerned.
-Had a lovely chat with
shubassdk last night. She still rocks. This should come as a surprise to no one.
-I want a header for LJ. Anyone wanna help me? ;)
