o.O
You know, someone should write me Den Kroniske Uskyld slash. Not that it doesn't practically write itself, since it's in the movie and probably the book, but I haven't been able to stomach that. *hates on Rifbjerg*
Also, I now have one more movie including a same-sex kiss. They now make up the majority of the movies/DVD's I own. Lets not try to think too much about that.
I am dreadfully hungry. And I need to write up a list of school supplies I need.
Just so this post has sort of a point. Fic!
Title: Nightmares
Rating: PG
Summary: She dreams she’s dying
Pairing: L/P
She dreams that she’s dying, falling into darkness. She tries to reach out, tries to call for anyone, but it doesn’t work. She sees her friends, on the path she fell off, but they stay on it, weary and broken and none of them stop to help.
The dream shifts, and she’s in bed, lying awake next to a sleeping Parvati. She sighs with relief and reaches of to touch Parvati. But when Parvati rolls, she sees it. The Dark Mark, on Parvati’s arm, its snake tongue mocking her. She screams, and her reality shifts again.
She’s six, in a meadow, making daisy chains in the sunshine, bright blue sky above her. She hears her mother call for her, telling her to come home, but when she looks for her, all she can see is forest, trees walking towards her, arms stretched out. She hears the laughter of Death Eaters, turns and runs.
She runs into Harry Potter, standing by a cold lake, rain pelting down on him. She goes up to him, to offer comfort, but she can’t reach and he stands alone. She watches, helpless as he goes into the lake, the last hope for the Wizarding world drowning, and she stands unable to reach for him.
She dreams of scars, some familiar, some new, hugging Parvati’s broken body close to her, repeating no, no, no, over and over, as if it some how might unmake the truth. She sees a hooded figure above them, and she knows she should flee, but she can’t leave Parvati here, Parvati’s who’s lips are turning blue, and who’s hair is seeped with blood. The Dementor leans down, and she can’t remember Parvati alive, all she can remember is blood and cold, cold lips, scars, scars…She cries and cries, scared of everything around, unable to feel anything but fear and loss, and then she hears it. Her name being called, she feels warm hands take her and shake her and she opens her eyes.
Parvati leans over her, her hands stilling for seconds, then moving, pulling Lavender into her arms.
‘Shhh, it’s over, remember? No more war, Lavender, no more.’ And her voice soothes Lavender slightly, brings her back to reality, to the reality of the warm body next to her, the soft hands on her arms, the scar above Parvati’s breast, where Lavenders hands rest.
‘It’s over.’ Parvati whispers, kissing her forehead. Lavender lets the words soothe her, but she can’t help feel that the war, this war that’s taken half her life, that war will never be over.
Ignore the fact that the first paragraph is almost completely stolen from 'American Tune' That's not important. I'm not awfully fond of the ending, but what are you going to do? It's mostly a rough draft at this point anyway.
And okay, Frk. Peterson is so Mrs. Danvers. I'm not even joking here. And this makes sense only to Tess, probably, and maybe the other Danes on my f-list.
