Went to a movie with Rasmus today, who has mellowed out incredibly since he started dating, which is nice. He's really calm these days, same smart, snarky, fun guy he's always been, but he's not so uptight any more, not so easily provoked. Anyway.

Went to see 'Pieces of April' which was really rather good, in an easy, afternoon sort of way. It did make me appriciate my family greatly though. It's actually a rather pretty movie. I mean, it's not glossy, and it's not sugary or sacchrine, but it's small, pleasant, well made, personal, sweet movie with a charming ending.

We saw it in Empire, which is in the Northern part of Copenhagen, Nørrebro. I'd forgotten how lovely the area is, with it's cafes and sandwich shops, diverse population and cosy theatre. If I decide to live in Copenhagen, that is where I'd live, in a small apartment near the theatre. Such a comfortable neighbourhood.

We also biked there and home and it was just lovely. The amazing weather - warm, with the smell of rain and thunder in the air - and talking to Rasmus, it was pretty much the perfect Saturday.

Now, I think someone should pimp me femslash. *nodnod* Cute, fluffy, smiley-face type femslash.

I have 721 Simon and Garfunkel captures. I scare myself

I think I'm in love with Tim Burton. I think I want to marry his movies and have strange and romantic/creepy movie!children.

He creates what Horror Movies should be. Not pointless bloodfests, but...fairytales, I guess. I love the storytelling arcs of his films, the way that horror is incorperated to tell the story - the way children tell ghost stories. Neil Gaiman does it in his books. Roald Dahl did it in his books. No one does it in movies with as much style, and much nostalgic, haunted-house-tinted brilliance as Tim Burton. There is something so twistedly beautiful about his work.

It's entirely possible that I should not be left unsupervised near a computer and tv after eleven.

Christina Ricci is just deliciously sweet and romantic in this. Yum.
