Of course, *now* history becomes fun

I love how, in the middle of this very serious chronicle of the Rebellion of 1173-74 - a very christian account - there's suddenly this reference to Merlin: Then seems to have been fulfilled this prophecy of Merlin which says: [sons against fathers, all very symbolic]. Competely serious, too. My note next to it just says, 'wtf?', because, seriously. You just don't expect that kind of thing from a serious historical text.
Am muchly amused.

Okay, I can't really think of one just now, but I'm certain there is one! Or five!

Date: 2006-11-01 11:43 am (UTC)Because I have to write three essays in the next two weeks. Which isn't too bad - I should have the first two done by this weekend; however, the third is on the novel and as such, covers a lot of topics I haven't read about/been to lectures about. Plus, I need to reference at least two books, preferably four and I haven't read any for the course yet. I'll get by. But still. It's stressful to think about too much.
