no one does an 'in love' face like him
Aug. 24th, 2005 03:20 pmI want the Merchant of Venice and by god, I want it NOW. Dammit. Sadly me = poor. Oh well, next month is only a week away.
Meanwhile, universities are horrid and need to cease to be. Or conversely have lower grade demands. I have now managed to fall head over heels for Sussex, which I thought was good, since it's listed as a 'B', but no, oh no! That would be easy. Apparently B means ABB. *headdesk* But it looks so damn good. And it has Gender Studies. And it's right near Brighton. And all kinds of flailings. So my list, at present is (in order of choice):
UCL - AAB
Sussex - AAB
Cambridge - AAA/AAB
Sheffield - ABB
Reading - BB (I think?)
Lancaster - BBB/BBC or Kent - BBB/BBC
...Lancaster it is, then, since Kent is a pretty good school (top ten for English) and therefore probably won't accept less than ABB. I don't know why Sussex is being so up itself, either - it's not even in the top twenties for English and 37 in general. *bitter*
Which reminds me, I need to call up the British Council.
On to better news, my friend Signe is teh rock. She bought me books! Some used book shop she knows of had a four-for-twenty kroner English book sale and so she bought me Kim, Sons and Lovers, The French Lieutenants Woman and a social studies book on England from 1870-1992. YAY! Except that I really have no time to read right now.
Also! Met
yatina76 yesterday - just as cool as one might think. It's a shame both Tess and I had to hurry on (I had work, Tess had a previous engagement), because it might've been cool to talk a little more. Must do it again!
And now, I am going to go read social studies. Or possibly take a bath.
