Top Five Lists. Part:I

1. I have owned seven 'I <3 NY' teeshirts. One of them was limegreen on baby blue. It was truly a thing of horror (now a-days, I stick with black/gray for my stereotypical souvenir teeshirts)
2. Truly tacky spintop from Istanbul. Though I think I'm excused because I was ten, and anyway, it was given to me.
3. Incredibly lame teddy bear. It was yellow and green and said "Mexico" on it, holding a mexican flag and wearing a sombrero. My parents got it for me when I was wee.
4. Huge beret in Paris. Never mind no-one was wearing one in Paris.
5. Pendant bought from a gypsy in Prague. Mostly bought out of guilt. Is said to bring love. Or something.
1. Hawkeye/Trapper. They still have a huge part of my heart to this day, because they're cute, they're angsty and I love them to teeny, tiny bits.
2. Sherlock Holmes/John Watson. I love them. Really, I do. They're just so incredibly *important* to each other, so vital. They *love* each other, and it's really not important if it's plantonic or not. It just *is*.
3. Bill/Clarissa and Darrell/Sally. From Malory Towers. I loved them from when I was a wee thing who cried before she read In the 6th, because I was afraid Enid Blyton would split those special friendships up. They're sweet, old-fashioned, adoring, touchy feely and they make me very happy.
4. Jack/David. My original Newsies pairing, and I still do adore them. Obviously, they're meant to be together and they're just so cute and such awkward teenage boys.
5. Kirk/Spock. You have no idea how much GLEE I'm getting from this pairing right now. Seriously. THE GLEE! THE CUTE! THE RAISED EYEBROW! THE EMOTIONAL SECURITY! I love.
6. (Shut up, it wouldn't be an OTP list without 'em) Idgie/Ruth. Fried Green Tomatoes is one of my favourite books and one of my favourite movies and Idgie/Ruth is adorable.
And you know, I still feel like I'm missing some (Like Toby/CJ. Or Jake/Hamilton.)

5. I, Jehudah. I love this one - it's haunting and terrifying and I love it. It captures how we make the same mistakes over and over and over. Jesus Christ Superstar fandom, but please don't be scared off by that.
6. Bonus recs: For Sherlock Holmes, Out of This Room - three version of 'The Three Garridebs'. The Sentinel: Anniversary Story Hey Chief, when'd we get married? And the counter point, Women, Wine and Schlong And they were sending out wedding invitations! Wicked: Ghosts Disappear When You Look Straight at Them. Glinda didn't ask to be haunted.

English:
1. Melancholy. I love that word - it's exactly what it sounds like. No, really. It's a slow, languid, sad word.
2. Twiligt (and dusk). They're such lovely moodsetters
3. Ephemeral. Just look it at it. It *looks* pretty.
4. Fuck. I have already written about my issues with this word. Now that's a versatile word!
5. Joyous. Because so few of our happy words sound happy (likewise: Glee)
Danish:
1. Spøgelse. It means ghost and I like the look of it.
2. Ærlighed. Honesty and it's a word that sounds almost musical, but isn't.
3. Bibliotek. Library, it has a nice rythm to it.
4. Livlig. It sounds happy and alive. Means lively.
5. Synd. Sin/a form of 'what a shame/how sad' and I like the many meanings.
1. Hermione. She does too count, and I don't care if I'm not into HP anymore, she still rocks.
2. Watson. Oh, shush.
3. Goofy. Yes, he does count as a sidekick. Particularly if you've read the Danish Donald Duck magazine. Otherwise, Pluto.
4. Slinky dog! From Toy Story! Aw, yeah. Or does Rose from Dr Who count as a sidekick?
5. Timon and Pumba. They win at sidekickness!
SO MUCH WITH THE GLEE!
