Girls of St.Mary's - SGA, NC-17. I know everyone and their mother have recced this fic already, but still - it's just that good. It really is, all hot and awkward in the first two parts, and then brilliant and heart-breaking and real in the second part, and seriously? 1950s school girls making out. Why are you still reading this?

In other news, as of tomorrow, I should be done with all of my written work this term. Okay, so it's late coming, but hey, I'm done and that's something.

It's something that means I should start revising and I really should know what I want to do next year and why is this stupid year so stressful? I mean, I love this and all, I really do, but right now? A year off almost sounds like a good idea. No papers! No homework! No panicking about deadlines! On the other hand, crappy job back in Denmark. Err. Maybe not that good. Hum.

Interestingly, I've already kind of written about that:

My particular interest is how gender and sexuality is portrayed in media, particularly, as representation both influences and informs our view of society. Furthermore, our perception of society is coloured by our ideas of gender – and to a lesser extent sexuality – to a degree where it is hard to imagine society without gender models or gender roles. This is part of what I find so intriguing about gender studies; although the ideas and acts of gender change, there is still an insistence on its importance in society. The representation of gender and sexuality, then, is both contemporary and historical, with literary, political and sociological relevance.

(hello, pretension wagon. Mind if I hitch up my cart?)

I just can't figure out what else to write. Hmm.

I actually really like that.

I don't exactly know what else to write, either - I mean, that's very concise, and to expand on it would only seem like you were trying to hard. Or something. Gosh, I don't know.

When does it need to be finished?

Well, I've uploaded the damn thing now, so hopefully it passes muster. Argh, I hate applying for things. It gives me a stomach ache :(

But look, you've got excellent grades, yeah? Of course they want you.
