Oh yes. Still a fangirl. *pinches their cheeks*

I find that high school students make about as much sense in a discussion as actual members of the Danish parliament. I'm not sure if that says more about us or them. Political café today, about Turkey's admission into the EU. Worringly, the man from the Danish Folks Party was rather charming and well spoken. Eek, very scary!

I am currently watching what seems to be a rather homoerotic movie, though I may just be confused because it involves Robert Carlyle, Alan Cumming and is produced by Gary Oldman. It's really hilarious though - in the style of A Knight's Tale except well pulled off. Really well pulled off. And I swear, Robert Carlyle's character (Plunkett) is head over heels for McCleane. Or at least wants to jump his bones. It's quite sweet, in a warped kind of yay!historic!fucked-up-itty-ness way. The plot? Two men become highway robbers in, what I'm guessing is, 1700th century England. Of course it doesn't go smoothly, and there's campiness and the pox and sex and just general ridiculousness and greatness. It's called Plunkett & McCleane and I very much recommend it, if you're looking for something light and easy. And weird.

Did I mention it has a very sexy Liv Tyler in it? Mm-hm.

Meanwhile my dad has started working again. It's really strange not having him around all the time; I never thought I'd miss it, but I do. Hm.

Also, I am a sucker for a gospel choir. In case you were wondering. A gospel choir or a piano and I'm sold and bought and quite possibly squealing on the floor in glee! I am easy, I tell you.

Has anyone seen [livejournal.com profile] myhappyface lately?

I'm here, I'm here! I just have absolutely nothing to post about. Except - Sunday afternoon, my friend Emily and I went to see Wedding Crashers, and then I came home and read Red Dragon slash all night. (I may be a little ashamed. Okay, a lot ashamed.)

Damn, you're fast!

Heh, it's okay. Well, the jury's still out on the issue of Red Dragon slash. Does it entail slashing *Hannibal*? Because if it does, I'm...err. Very weirded out?

[identity profile] myhappyface.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, god. It *does.* And I can't even stop myself - what's more, I'm pointing you toward some. When it's done right, Graham/Lecter is subtle, creepy, and twistedly erotic (like that one is).

Of course, I occasionally took small breaks to make myself remember that Hannibal *eats people* and Graham probably wouldn't appreciate having his neck nibbled on in light of that revelation.

Aww, aren't you just the cutest thing, ever?

I didn't scare you away with my last post, did I?

OT, but...

Forgive me if I sound like I'm promo-ing, but I read (and replied to) your posts about "The Virgin's Lover" over on [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes, and I'd like to invite you to join [livejournal.com profile] sharpened_quill. It's a community for reviewing bad books, and you sound like someone who could have a fine old time with the subject. ^_- Jump over and visit sometime if you're interested!

Please for you to bring this movie with you when you visit. What? I like weird. :)

You scare me.

No offense meant, of course. ;-)

I AM NOT READING. NOT. NO. EVER. NOT. REALLY.

*preens*

Nah. Well, maybe you scared me a bit, but certainly not away. I'm really, really glad you had such a good time and you're having so much fun *grins*

Tragically, I do not own this movie. It was on tv last night. *pouts*

Aw, honey *snugs*

I shall instead bring Merchant of Venice, Jurassic Park and DEBS.

And don't think you're getting out of watching MoV ;)

Weeeeeeell, one of my first real online fandoms was Oz, and my favorite character there was a serial killer, so I've had time to acclimatize to the idea. (Plus he's fictional, which helps.)

OH I KNOW THAT YOU ARE. DON'T LIE.

There is a difference between Chris Keller and Hannibal Lecter.

I hope.

don't tell anyone omg!
