Funniest thing.

I haven't spoken to A. for a year and a half, maybe more. She used to be my best friend, and seriously I mean best friend in the kind of living-at-each-other's-houses kind of way. And then after my year in the US, where we kept in touch pretty well, we drifted apart. Starting school etc. and there was just never time. I kept thinking that I should call her, but never got around to it.

And then at the farewell party two weeks back, I talked to an old calss mate who'd spoken with A. lately and said that she'd been missing me too. So I put calling A. back on my to-do list and then wussied about for two weeks.

Well, I just called her. We spoke for an hour. It was strangely like old times. It was strangely comfortable. It was *nice*.

Funniest thing, I tell you.
