kept on singing love songs, just to break my own fall

[livejournal.com profile] cereta's asking why people love fandom. This naturally results in a post with a comment thread of joy and glee and all things good - and you should run over and add your own joy and glee to the bunch.

As for me, I love fandom, because it is a break away from my own mind; it's my safe-space, the place I go to be happy and silly and think differently and communicate and be able to be myself without repercussions or awkwardness. I love fandom.

I love my fandom because in my new one, boys actually are all over each other! They even kiss onstage! IT IS AWESOME. But I like fandom because it's reassurance that you're not completely out of your mind. Because if you are, so are a bunch of other people. HA.

I know you said to go over there, but I am not particularly comfortable commenting to people I don't know. So I thought I'd share with you. :D

Speaking of fandom, I am absolutely adoring that icon of yours. Hercules, seriously. ♥.

I love fandom because I can be myself wholly and utterly and no one is going to think I'm weird or a pervert or that I think strangely. Fandom has every kink known to man and embraces them along with the people who have them. The ultimate community.
