and then I'm like, man, there could be *smut* here.

So iPod, right? I knew it was a mobile harddisk, I just hadn't quite comprehended what this meant. I mean, I got my iPod for music and had no reason to think it could be used for anything else.

And then yesterday at work I'm messing around with it and I noticed that there was a collection of extras, including contacts and...notes.

Why did no one tell me I can store *fic* on this thing?

Also, because, sure, it can hold the fic so you can transport it to Jylland, or something, but you can actually only read the first page or two. At least that's hot it is on mine. Tell me if yours is different?

Well, at least it was a *good* surprise and not a nasty one.

(you know what? I don't think I have enough music to fill 4 GB of sapce. This is frightening. My iPod has a bigger mind than I do!)

If you want to read it while it's stored on there, you have to upload it in little chunks--at least that's the way it is with mine (which is an older modle). But... sometimes it's worth it. Like on long air trips! Although, it was awkward trying to read smut while sitting really close to my mother who was asking questions like "Are you playing a game on there?"

Yes, but it is more awkward when you're sitting with huge printed out pages - brothers have a tendency to read over shoulders.

I have a 4 hour bus trip every other week, so yeah - even in small chunks that's worth it ;)
